The Kindergarten is managed by a Committee of Management, made up of volunteer parents.
We are proud to be a community run kindergarten and enjoy having parents and families involved in such an important part of our service.
Committee meetings are currently held on the last Wednesday of each month, via Zoom or in person at the kindergarten. This is where the day to day business and finances are managed. Come along and see how you can contribute or show your support by listening. This function is similar to running a small business and is a valuable learning experience, providing teamwork and friendship. All Committee meetings are treated as totally confidential.
Staff attend committee meetings to provide reports and take part in discussions around the management of the service. It is a team effort between staff and committee that creates a positive and supportive learning environment for your child.
Any enquiries regarding the management of the Kindergarten may be directed to the Committee of Management. Your input into the running of the Kindergarten is very important and most welcome. If you are not able to join the Committee there are many other ways you can help, such as assisting with excursions, providing craft and recycled materials, supporting fundraising activities, end of term clean ups and working bees. If you have any contacts through work or relatives, and are able to donate items such as paper, cardboard, or items suitable for raffle prizes, fete sales or our trivia night auction, please keep Seaford Kindergarten in mind as we appreciate all we are given.
